All kidding aside, St. John has natural beauty to spare! Just a 2.5 hr flight from Miami, the Caribbean is near enough, but far away enough that you won’t easily forget your time there!

In May, it seemed like all the beaches were practically private! The most breathtaking had to be Trunk Bay.

The iguanas are all over in the trees or round about finding their spots in the sun…

We also saw deer a couple of times, both in the many acres of national forest that have been set aside on the island.

The pelican’s grace and cunning is on display as it flies and dives for its lunch..

The tropical green against the blue skies are hypnotic…

But for me, the star of this show is the sea…
