My family are die-hard Harry Potter fans, and couldn’t wait to get to the official Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour this December, 2014 – we knew all the Christmas decorations would still be up : )
After about a 45-60 minute bus ride from Victoria Station in London, we arrived in the lobby to a lovely Christmas tree.
After an introduction to the studio, our tour was set to begin – What was behind the doors???
The Hogwarts main dining room!!
Everything looked ready for a Christmas feast, including the Christmas poppers at each place setting!
Can’t stop taking photos in this great hall : )
I can see why the cauldron was leaky ; ) Here’s a link to another leaky cauldron:

I think this was my favorite room of the tour: the Gryffindor Common Room : )
Time keeps on ticking, ticking, into the future…
There were original costumes worn by the characters in the movies everywhere, but I like these. I remember Hermione’s pink hoodie…
Beautiful pink office, I mean den of torture. Kittens, anyone?
This Ministry of Magic sculpture was actually pretty powerful in person….
Typical near-London house – could cost you close to a million dollars in 2014…
Except for one thing – this is PRIVET DRIVE!! And there is a certain boy-who-lived bunking under the stairway….
This department can make anything….Check out the variety of hands….
Harry Potter creatures!
Buckbeak, a Hippogriff. If you have to ask….
A favorite part of the tour for sure – Diagon Alley!!
Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes!!
Original production art from the movies….
I like this rendition of Dobby….
This was one of the coolest things – with the John Williams score playing as you walked into the room with a HUGE scale model of Hogwarts! SO Cool!
While we were in the room, the lighting changed…day to night?? But really impressive in any case…
Actually, the model was really beautiful, especially in the night lighting.
After the scale model room, there is a room of wand boxes with all the cast and crew’s name from each movie – my daughter found Emma Watson’s wand box in the midst of hundreds of others…
And of course, one must “Exit Through the Gift Shop” – A real Harry Potter Mecca for any true fan. Here’s a link to a fav indie film:

Prince William & Kate love Harry Potter, too : ) This enlarged photo is from the cafe – we waited for our bus departure inside… *
An adventure-minded lass from early on, Georgia Sanders has wandered the U.S. & Europe enough to know that the Schengen Zone is one of her favorite places on the planet!
Upon returning from a 3-month stay in Florence, Italy in 2014, Georgia was inspired through what she calls a “personal renaissance” to found THIS online travel & culture magazine CultureHoney.com!
Dreams of Paris always at the top of mind, the Celtic Christian spirituality developed in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England has been winning her heart in recent years.
An outgrowth from the magazine is the recently launched CultureHoneyTouring.com. The maiden voyages for this new venture are small group pilgrimages to Sacred Ireland and Iona, Scotland!
Georgia hopes that many Culture Honey readers will be inspired to join in these journeys, commencing in September 2021!
Justin’s parents don’t want to ask but they know insurance won’t cover everything.
Justin’s mom cries frequently throughout the evening.
She’s devastated.
10pm Justin packs the car with my stuff.
11pm I arrive at my moms.
Park the car, sit there, I sob,
First time I get to cry.
