First Fridays takes place ironically on the first Friday of each month on Abbot Kinney Bl in Venice, between Venice Bl. and Westminster (both are at lights), and are a celebration of food, creative boutiques and local life. Food trucks line the boulevard, and shops and bars are open for you to browse, mingle and purchase until your heart’s content. This is a definite hipster zone, and a fun place to spend a Friday night soaking up the local life while visiting the L.A. area! People are everywhere, so if you’re a people watcher it’s great. If you hate crowds, maybe it’s not for you, as it’s becoming quite popular. You might wait in line for up to an hour, but don’t let that scare you off, because some of the food you won’t find elsewhere (like gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches!? yum!). Things change up a a bit each month, so be sure and tune in to the official site for details!
