Cuban cuisine is a wonderful blend of Spanish, African and Caribbean foods. For a delicious, authentic meal, stop by La Taverna located at 5424 Laurel Canyon Blvd. in Valley Village, CA! Prices are reasonable, the atmosphere friendly, and the food, well, it honestly reminded me of the cuban cuisine I was fortunate to partake of in Miami, FL : )

Eating too much is a definite danger! The potato balls stuffed with seasoned ground beef (Papa Rellena) and Empanadas Carne were my favorites, but the cuban style roasted pork (Lechon Asada) was tender and flavorful. The beans and rice were just right too. Served in a corn masa baked shell, the seasoned ground beef with olives mixture made for delicious Carne Molida!

If you are out in the Van Nuys area of L.A., please take our word for it, you will not be disappointed at La Taverna! By the way, the official website touts live music every Saturday night beginning at 8:30pm!
