The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a museum of modern and contemporary art, designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, and located in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain.
The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao building represents a magnificent example of the most groundbreaking 20th-century architecture. With 24,000 m2, of which 11,000 are dedicated to exhibition space, the Museum represents an architectural landmark of audacious configuration and innovating design, providing a seductive backdrop for the art exhibited in it.
Altogether, Gehry’s design creates a spectacular, sculpture-like structure, perfectly integrated within Bilbao’s urban pattern and its surrounding area.
I offer this joyful trail of happy museum visitors as a metaphorical journey to the mysteries and secrets into the art of living.
The modern architectural genius that unites Bilbao (a city with ancient walls dating from the 11th century) to modernity exudes the brilliance of humanity in an example of wonder and beauty, beyond words. I can say the same of these extraordinary women, whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing.
Art is living, living is art.
From the Greek, the word:
Eudaimonia — human flourishing, thriving, – the innate potential of each individual to live a life of enduring happiness, penetrating wisdom, optimal well-being and authentic love and compassion.
“Guard well within yourself that treasure, kindness. Know how to give without hesitation, how to lose without regret, how to acquire without meanness.”
~ George Sand [1804 – 1876]

“The capacity for delight is the gift of paying attention.” ~ Julia Margaret Cameron [1815 – 1879]
Dancing ’round the visions.
Lovely interactive ‘Angels’ playing in the scenes amongst art of living!
Light, shadows and colours weave amidst the angles to compel attention to their changing values.
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”

Goodbye for now, Bilbao.
“The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours – it is an amazing journey – and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.”
~ Bob Moawad [1941 – 2007]
Laughing to myself as I often do, I thought that instead of asking myself, “What if this is as good as it gets?” (as suggested in the film), to playfully and curiously ask instead, “What is SO very good about this… instant?”
