Refugees Immigration
On Tuesday night, April 12th, a small, cross-generational group of men and women met together to learn about refugees and immigration from the Christian Scriptures. Leading the evening’s conversation was a special guest who has given his life to working with refugees and immigrants around the world, especially in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. Now working in the Detroit area of the U.S., our guest has extensive experience working with Muslim immigrants. As part of the evening, we watched a video about a town in upstate New York, Utica, that has successfully settled many immigrants and refugees successfully. The report was done for PBS.org and can be watched by clicking here.

In researching for our night’s discussion, Culture Honey found this helpful, basic primer by UNHCR on the refugee situation that is currently impacting all of Europe.
