Our first stay in Reims, France seemed to be enchanted from the start. The Notre-Dame de Reims is like a beautiful version of “Our Lady of Paris” in miniature, sharing more than just a name, it’s soaring majesty inspiring a hushed reverence inviting one for a contemplative sit, even just for a few moments of quiet time…
Sharing more than a passing likeness with her famous big sister, the rose window is exquisite!
And lighting a candle in the awe-inspiring cathedral, with its soaring pillars certainly brings on the sense of the holy, especially at Christmastime.

What should we do the day in the city of City of Coronations and of Champagne? Visit the Taittinger Champagne House of course! Which, according to WineInvestment.com, is one of the three oldest Champagne Houses in France!
“Taittinger’s history can be traced back to 1734, when it was originally known as Forest-Fourneaux, founded by Jacques Fourneaux who worked closely with local Benedictine monks to learn how to produce wine. As such, the house is the third oldest Champagne producer in history.”
