Rome, Round #1! St. Peter’s Basilica, Sept. 6, 2014
St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City, Sept. 2014
Arriving in Rome (via Copenhagen) from Los Angeles was tre’ cool to say the least! I had been in Italy twice before, but had been “saving” Rome, since in my mind it deserves one’s FULL attention! This was to be the first of three visits I would make to the Eternal City while participating in my Study Abroad/Grand Tour trip, and it was all that the word AWESOME actually implies! Here are some synonyms that Merriam-Webster dictionary lists for “awesome” – yep, I think they all apply!
Wondering about going to Rome? The answer is YES!!!!! By the way, these are just the shots I have of visiting St. Peter’s Basilica; there are lots more spots all around Rome on CultureHoney.com! Just do a sort by the site tag, “CultureHoney: Rome!” and you will find them!

An adventure-minded lass from early on, Georgia Sanders has wandered the U.S. & Europe enough to know that the Schengen Zone is one of her favorite places on the planet!
Upon returning from a 3-month stay in Florence, Italy in 2014, Georgia was inspired through what she calls a “personal renaissance” to found THIS online travel & culture magazine CultureHoney.com!
Dreams of Paris always at the top of mind, the Celtic Christian spirituality developed in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England has been winning her heart in recent years.
An outgrowth from the magazine is the recently launched CultureHoneyTouring.com. The maiden voyages for this new venture are small group pilgrimages to Sacred Ireland and Iona, Scotland!
Georgia hopes that many Culture Honey readers will be inspired to join in these journeys, commencing in September 2021!
Each of us is living art, and each is the steward of oneself. We also are the collective stewards of our humanity. Art is communication and has a long-held purpose for humans. It is our right and a choice as to whether or not, and if so how, we engage in art.
