One of the greatest joys of WonderCon is seeing all the great cosplay that fans have spent months putting together. You can see a huge range of fandoms represented, from Hetalia to Hamilton and everything in between. It’s great to be able to walk up to a perfect stranger, let them know how awesome you think they look, then take a snapshot to remember them by. In a world that seems to constantly be at odds, it’s refreshing to see so many diverse people brought together by the camaraderie of cosplay.
The first cosplay we noticed on our second day at WonderCon was this hot pink Wookiee – now that’s the way to make a statement!
Squirrel Girl’s been rising in popularity the last couple years, and I’ve just gotta say it’s great that a character with such a quirky power can be so powerful. Let’s get nuts!
Glad to see Ever After High getting represented – here is a lovely Cerise Hood 🙂
Foxy has never looked so disarmingly adorable!
Quite the impressive Deathstroke; I wonder if he saw the Teen Titans: Judas Contract premiere…
Princess Anastasia’s coronation gown – this is one of those looks that makes me wish my sewing skills were on her level!
A stunning Wonder Woman puts the wonder in WonderCon!
Iridessa’s my favorite of Tinkerbell’s friends – she’s so excitable and “flighty” 😉
We later saw this Cogsworth and Lumiere duo at the Masquerade Competition – and they won an award!
American McGee’s Alice in Wonderland is so dark, yet so hauntingly beautiful.
An impressive Cubone cosplay from head to toe!
This group was great – A Stormtrooper, Frozone and Transformer all rocking out to their stereo!
An adorable Tracer and Mei from Overwatch. Check out the size of Mei’s snowshoes!
Xena and Gabrielle looking as badass as ever 😉
The construction on his Onyx is incredible. It actually looks like it’s made from rocks!
The Fake Powerpuff Girls can’t help but bring a smile to your face. Those disguises aren’t fooling anyone!
This amazing quartet from Moana is an example of cosplay at its finest.
Some Daft Punk cosplayers – those helmets are iconic.
Ronald Mc Thornald – the crossover you never knew you needed until now.
DRAGONBORN – FUS RO DAH!!!
Hunny Senpai! Though not technically my senpai, you always will remain so in my heart 🙂
Why you gotta be so Heartless? 😉
Wolverine and Quicksilver – I loved Evan Peters in this role!
Kaori Miyazono from Your Lie in April – wish we’d gotten a shot with her instrument case – such a beautiful soul 🙂
Classic Rogue: I know it’s not unique to say so, but she’s one of my favorite X-Men.
Frankendoodle Spongebob is one of those great, quirky cosplays that you’d never come up with yourself, but are ecstatic when you find it 😀
And we will end the day with this stunning Iron Man Samurai. The creativity and dedication of the cosplayers you find at WonderCon never ceases to amaze me. Here’s to many more years of laughs, fun and adventures at WonderCons to come!
Tune in next week to see more pics from the last two days of WonderCon!
Stay geeky!
